Plot

 

Arthur Fleck, a party clown, leads an impoverished life with his ailing mother. However, when society shuns him and brands him as a freak, he decides to embrace the life of crime and chaos.

My personal opinion

I would give this movie a 9/10 - Joaquin is absolutely phenomenal in the film and portrays the joker very well. Definitely oscar worthy if you ask me ;)

The movie is very controversial based on how it makes the viewers sympathize with Fleck even though he does these terrible things. 

Throughout the movie, we see how Fleck struggles through daily life and how he gets beaten up and laughed at. We also see how society has failed the lower classes.
